Based on the State of the Art and the Social Research findings of the ie-women project (Deliverable 2.1 and 2.2) 2 online courses have been developed in response to female entrepreneurs’ training needs:

1.       Entrepreneurship in 11 easy steps, and a

2.  A beginner’s Social Media Marketing Guide for Women Entrepreneurs and Practitioners.


Target Audience: Women Entrepreneurs, Managers, Employees, Trainers

This Guide is an introduction to the scope and the structure of the courses and also an introduction to distance learning.  


The “A Beginner’s Social Media Marketing Guide for Women Entrepreneurs and Practitioners” course comprises two (2) Learning Units, namely:

1. Social Media Marketing (8,5 hours for Activities and  1 hour for self-study)

2. Understanding social media for promoting your brand (6 hours for Activities and  1 hour for self-study)

The "Entrepreneurship in 11 Easy Steps" course comprises four (4) Learning Units, namely:

1. Am I an entrepreneur? (2 hours)

The aim of this learning unit is to present a short introduction to female entrepreneurship and the challenges that women entrepreneurs face not for intimidation, but to help them better prepare. 

2. Which skills are necessary to become entrepreneur and manage a business? (3 hours)

The aim of this learning unit is to help women aspiring entrepreneurs or existing entrepreneurs to improve their entrepreneurial attitudes, behaviors, knowledge, and skills in order to utilize their potential and have a positive impact on the economic development of their communities.

3. How do I start and manage a business, in 11 easy steps (8,5 hours)

The aim of this learning unit is provide learners with the knowledge, insight and skills to develop and manage a business endeavour. This unit is based on the standardized Bridge Model developed by Bridging to the Future ltd and adapted to the European environment through testing in UK, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, and Netherlands (Bridging the Gap project). For the purpose of this course, the model has been adapted to the needs of the target group, as these were identified at the E-Women, Del.2.2. Social Research Findings

4. How do I start a tech business? (2 hours)

Few easy-to-understand foundation concepts that will help women who are interested in founding a tech business understand what this endeavor entails.
